Pacific Flash: A Year in Levuka FIJI

These are the memoirs of architect and writer Gerry Takano. Gerry a Honolulu native, who now lives in San Francisco, spent a year in the old capital of Fiji (Levuka) as a “Heritage Advisor”. This position, paid for by a grant from Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), allowed him to devote his considerable talents to assist the community of Levuka to preserve its architectural heritage and promote itself as a self-sustainable historical town.
